- • Ocean freight must be prepaid.
Consignee 10-digit NIF must appear on transport documents and manifest. Original Bills of Lading only (eBL is not accepted). Inspection & Certificates
Pre-loading inspection & filing
- • CNCA loading certificate must be validated via ARCCLA authorized agents prior to vessel departure, and the physical original certificate held before vessel arrival.
- • Import License domiciled with an authorized commercial bank via BNA before shipment.
Cargo & Standards
Labeling, vehicles & packaging
- • Passenger vehicles: maximum 5 years from manufacture
- • Commercial vehicles (trucks, buses): maximum 8 years from manufacture
- • Right-hand-drive vehicles are strictly prohibited.
- • Portuguese product labeling mandatory on all retail consumer goods.
- • Official Veterinary Health Certificate mandatory for all imported meat and poultry products.

- • ISPM 15 heat-treated stamp required on all wooden packaging.
Shipper & Consignee
Where this destination differs from standard practice
- • Foreign consignees are not accepted — a locally-registered entity must be named.
- • Generic "to order" is not accepted — only "to order of [named bank]" is permitted.
Consignee must be a registered Angolan legal entity with an active 10-digit NIF. Generic "TO ORDER" B/Ls are strictly prohibited — only "TO ORDER OF [NAMED ANGOLAN COMMERCIAL BANK]" (e.g. BAI, BFA, BIC, BPC) is permitted, with full local buyer contact details and NIF in Notify. PO Box only is rejected.
Non-Compliance Risk at Destination
Cargo arriving at Luanda or Lobito without a validly held CNCA certificate faces severe customs delivery holds and administrative penalties. Local destination charges must be collected in Angola (prepaying destination charges at origin causes carrier document cancellation and delays).
